Clear communication makes the best experience for both of us.
No. Homebody Massage is a mobile practice only, offering massage and CranioSacral Therapy in the comfort of your own space. I bring everything needed to create a calming, restorative experience right to your door.
I adapt to many spaces, homes, apartments, or Airbnbs, as long as there's room to set up and move comfortably around the table. Please make sure the space is clean, quiet, and at a comfortable temperature.
A little soft light, such as a salt lamp, helps me see clearly while keeping the mood relaxed. I also ask for access to a bathroom or private space to briefly wash my hands and wait while you change. If you have pets, keeping them in another room keeps the session peaceful. If your space requires carrying my table upstairs, there's a $10 stair fee.
A professional massage table, clean sheets and a light blanket, massage oil or cream, and relaxing music. You're welcome to provide an extra blanket for more warmth. All you need is to have your space ready and be open to receive.
We begin with your intake form. You're welcome to complete it ahead of time on the new client intake page, or we can fill it out together when I arrive. This time never cuts into your scheduled massage; I reserve extra time for it on a first visit. We'll also review my conduct, boundaries, and cancellation policies so we share a clear understanding.
I'm currently available Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 8 PM, and Friday through Sunday, 9 AM to 5 PM. These stay flexible as I find the rhythm that works best. To hear about schedule changes and seasonal specials, you can subscribe to my newsletter.
I'm based in Florence, Alabama, and serve The Shoals: Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, and Tuscumbia. I'm not currently serving Huntsville, though I'm open to traveling there at a custom rate.
Not at all. The 60, 90, or 120 minutes you schedule are pure hands-on time. I build in plenty of time before and after to set up and pack up.
I've practiced massage for more than a decade, while CranioSacral Therapy is something I've developed more recently. I've studied it extensively, but haven't yet had the same hands-on experience, so I keep these sessions at a lower rate for now. I don't currently offer CST for infants, children, individuals with autism, or during pregnancy.
I can't massage two people at once, but I can absolutely schedule back-to-back sessions, and honestly, I love them. If you're thinking of a group experience, read about massage parties.
Yes. I'm certified in Pre- and Postnatal Massage through Carol Osborne's program. It was once a major focus of my career and I still love supporting expecting mothers. More in The Art of Rest.
Yes, with a few guidelines. A parent or legal guardian must remain on the premises for the entire session and sign a separate consent form. I don't currently offer CST for minors, and reserve the right to modify or decline a session. More on sessions for youth.
I've been certified in Level 1 Reiki since 2014 but don't offer it as a service; my focus is CranioSacral Therapy. I've also provided end-of-life and hospice massage, which remains close to my heart. I've trained in many modalities but choose to focus on those I'm most skilled in. A well-curated menu allows for deeper mastery, not more options.
The one add-on I offer is hot stones. I bring a portable warmer, and it's $15. I don't offer CBD products, as regulations vary and I prefer to keep everything above board.
No. You're always welcome to text me at 256-415-5723. Online booking is simply there for convenience, letting you see availability in real time.
My pricing covers the value of my work and travel, but tips are always appreciated. I've written more on my perspective on tipping.
Yes. $20 off your next massage when you leave a Google review, and $5 off when you provide your own clean, professional-quality sheets.
Not gift certificates, but you can pay for a session on behalf of someone else; we'll arrange it directly. More on why I work this way.
All major cards and digital wallets, plus Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal. Digital wallets, Venmo, and Zelle are preferred, as they carry smaller fees. Payment is processed after the session.
I do not accept insurance. Homebody Massage is a private-pay practice, allowing me to provide individualized care without the restrictions or documentation requirements often associated with insurance billing. Your personal information and session notes are kept confidential and are never shared without your written permission unless required by law.
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours incur a $50 fee. I hold myself to the same standard: if I ever cancel within 24 hours, I'll offer 20% off your next session. If you're running late, let me know and I'll extend your time when my schedule allows.
My work is built on trust, safety, and respect. I hold a zero-tolerance policy for any sexual or inappropriate behavior or remarks. Any such behavior will immediately end the session, and I'm obligated to contact the authorities if necessary.
For everyone's safety, clients must not arrive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This policy exists for safety and peace of mind, not from judgment.
To be blunt: just don't be a creep, and everything will be fine.
